Push-to-paint This is an option when your vehicle has been too badly damaged for a complete PDR repair. Such dents can still often benefit from the PDR process - the dents can be repaired to such a point that a Body Shop will be able to use a light filler or primer before repainting and not have to replace the entire panel. Since the area will need to be repainted, we can do major metal re-shaping work without being concerned about chipped or cracking paint.

Clean-up This is another option available for situations where PDR will not be able to completely repair damage. With clean-up, we can repair the dent enough to give it a more agreeable look even though it cannot be fully repaired. We are careful in this case not to mar the paint, since you are not going to get it re-painted. This is usually used when you would like an irreparable dent to look better but it is not worth putting the added expense of Body Shop repairs into. The price of a dent repair is based on the following items:



Size Although this is actually not the main factor in cost, as sometimes a tiny dent in the wrong place on the wrong car can be much more difficult and costly to repair than a dent the size of a basketball

Depth Soft, shallow dings are easier than deep dings

Complexity Creases are more complex than dings, for instance

Location Dents on bracing, panel edges, and body lines are more difficult

Number of Dents It would cost less to repair 3 dings on 1 panel than 2 dings on 2 panels

Type of MetalVehicles all differ in the types of metal their bodies are constructed. Aluminum is much more difficult to work with.

Paint Damage A dent with cracked paint will not be totally repairable, although it could benefit from push-to-paint or clean-up work.

Removal and Reinstallation of parts done to gain access Headliners must be removed for dents to the roof and occasionally tail lights and bumpers as well as other parts will require removal for dent access.
